HOUSE BOATS, KERALA
(Star Rating - Deluxe)
Houseboats are traditionally
called 'Kettuvallam'. The modern houseboat has a long history dating
back hundred of years. These boats were used by merchants to transport
rice and coir from town to town. During those days roads were a few.
With the emergence of road transportation, these boats were forgotten.
Today, thanks to tourism, they have been modified into luxurious
single and double bedroom houseboats with attached bathrooms, kitchen,
verandah and much more.

WILDLIFE |
|
|
|
|
India .. One of the few places left on earth where scenery, people, climate
and wildlife combine to create a land of beauty.
A land where one can experience natural
wildlife in natural surroundings. Known as the land of the tiger and the
elephants, the peacock and the rhinoceros, India’s wildlife is a delight for
nature lovers. The country’s climate and geographic diversity makes it the
home of over 350 mammals and 1200 bird species, many of which are unique to
the subcontinent. The total protected wilderness is approximately 140,000 sq.km, and constitutes 4% of India’s total land area.
